Carshalton One Of The First Areas To Take Part In E-ink Buses

Thanks to Sutton’s Lib Dem Councillor, Jill Whitehead, Sutton has become one of the first outer London Boroughs to take part in the TFL trial of e-inked bus information. The new e-ink bus arrival sign will  provide the best possible travel information for local bus users in order to make their journeys quicker and easier.

Tom, who has been running a campaign for better transport, said this about the trial: ‘We are constantly looking for new ways to improve transport for local people. This innovative trial will mean that travellers have the most up to date travel information at their fingertips.’

Chris Williams, who recently won the Carshalton Central Council By-Election, added: ‘I am proud that Lib Dem run Sutton Council is consistently at the forefront of new technology that seeks to make commuting easier for all. Too often boroughs outside central London are left behind the Capital in terms of new technology. This is a clear sign that the Lib Dem Council are going to keep Sutton up to date with the best technology, and I will make sure Sutton retains its cutting edge.’
