Young and not so Young Elected Representatives to Debate at Barrow Hedges Primary School

February 24, 2006 11:27 AM

Barrow Hedges Primary School School Council Members and Tom Brake, MP for Carshalton and Wallington, will discuss the finer points of our democracy at Barrow Hedges Primary School, Harbury Road, Carshalton on Friday the 3rd of March from 11:30-1:00.

After their meeting, which is expected to cover a wide range of topics, Tom Brake MP, the winner of the recent Barrow Hedges 'Peel an Apple Competition', will be joining pupils for a healthy school lunch.

Tom said, "I'm expecting to learn a lot from these budding politicians. They have a fresh perspective on things which perhaps gets lost in the Westminster village."

If you are a resident of the Carshalton and Wallington constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.

    • If you agree, Tom Brake MP, the Liberal Democrats, and their elected representatives may use the information you provide to contact you about issues you may find of interest. Some of the contacts may be automated. You can opt out of these contacts at any time by contacting us.
