Tom Brake is pleased to announce the winner of his annual Christmas Card Competition.

The competition was open to schoolchildren in Carshalton and Wallington from Reception through to Year 10.

For Reception to Year 2, first prize went to Max Benians of Culvers House Primary School. Meghan Thompson of Carshalton High School for Girls took first prize in the Year 7 to Year 10 category. However, Clara Kan of St Mary's RC Junior School not only took first place for Year 3 to Year 6 students, but was also chosen as the overall winner of the competition.

Mr Brake said "I was highly impressed both by the number of children who entered this year and their enthusiasm for the competition and its theme - Peace at Christmas. I received literally hundreds of fantastic entries."

Clara Kan's design will be used as Tom Brake's official Christmas card and will be sent to 1,300 residents and organisations within Mr Brake's constituency.

The winning entrants and runners-up will be invited to a ceremony at Wallington Public library on December 9th at 12noon.
