'Glazed All Over', Clare Morgan's ceramics studio - a new business in Stafford Road, Wallington - is launching an exciting new competition for pupils from local schools with the backing of local MP, Tom Brake.

Pupils are being invited to design twelve 20cm plates which will become the hours of the clock in her studio.

Tom Brake MP for Carshalton and Wallington, who visited Glazed All Over on Friday said "I am really impressed with the way Clare has made setting up links with the local community a priority for her business. She is not afraid to put into practise what she preaches and will be offering up her studio to local groups as a venue for arts classes and other activities.

Tom was very pleased to accept the chance to join the judges' panel for the competition. Judging will take place on the 7th November and the 12 winners will be invited in to the studio to transform their plate design into the real thing.

Whilst visiting the studio, Tom put his own creative skills to the test by producing his own glazed mug.
