Youth Connexions

Tom Brake, MP for Carshalton and Wallington, was the guest of Sutton's Urbie bus on Friday evening in Brookfield Avenue, for a meeting with young people.

During a lively Q+A, Tom was pressed on a number of issues close to the hearts of Sutton's teenagers such as the future of the Educational Maintenance Allowance, Oyster Cards and Connexions.

Tom said, "If anyone thought young people were uninterested in politics, they need to think again. They want to know what the coalition government is planning and how it might affect them".

The Urbie bus, staffed by Senior Youth Workers, travels to different parts of the Borough to meet up with young people who do not go to the Youth Centres.
