Local MP Tom Brake was put through his paces by members of the Sutton Storm basketball team as part of his Olympic Challenge in aid of Bliss, the baby care charity.

Tom took part in shooting and handling drills during one of Sutton Storm's regular evening training sessions before taking part in a practice match. Tom said, "I don't think I will be challenging for a place in the Sutton Storm team, but it is great to see the club doing so well in their first full season and doing so much within the local community."

Samantha Good, Club Secretary of Sutton Storm, said, "The Olympics is a great opportunity to increase participation in basketball and we are always looking for people to join our men's, ladies' and two junior teams".

The Olympic Challenge will see Tom compete in ten different Olympic sports and will culminate in a gruelling triathlon. Money raised from the Challenge will help fund research and support for premature and sick babies. To donate visit www.justgiving.com/tombrakegoldchallenge
