Export Event for Businesses

May 24, 2012 6:24 PM

Businesses in Sutton are being encouraged to find out about the opportunities and support available to local businesses which are looking to expand their businesses through exporting.

Sutton Chamber of Commerce, PPMA and UK Trade & Investments (UKTI) will be hosting the event in Parliament on June 11th, which will provide information about how local companies can benefit from winning business overseas and diversifying their customer base.

Local MP, Tom Brake, who organised the event, said, 'Sutton is home to an excellent business community and I want make sure that local businesses benefit from the export opportunities that are available'.

Chris Buxton, CEO of the PPMA group said, "Globalisation has long ceased to be jargon used by business consultants - it is now a business reality. Any company not recognising this fact is, at best, missing a huge opportunity and at worst, may find themselves going out of business. Exploring the export option should now be on every business agenda."

The event will take place between 9am and 1pm on Friday June 11th at the Palace of Westminster. For more information, or to book a place, please email info@tombrake.co.uk.
