Scouts Clean Up

May 31, 2012 4:41 PM

Local Scouts from the 9th Carshalton spent a recent Saturday morning cleaning up the church garden at Bishop Andrews Church as part of Scout Community Week.

Scout Community Week took place from the 14th-20th of May 2012, and offered Scouts an opportunity to create a fundraising project that adds real benefit to their community. The money raised provides financial help to young people and their families in need of extra support to remain involved in Scouting.

The Scouts were joined by local MP, Tom Brake MP who said, 'It is great to see young people getting involved in projects that benefit our local community. Joining the Scouts is a great way to learn skills, meet new friends and have a great time.'
