Carshalton and Wallington MP, Tom Brake has welcomed the announcement that Post Offices will continue to deliver tax disc and driving licence services.

Motorists will be able to tax their cars and apply for or renew driving licences at the Post Office for at least seven more years in a deal with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).

Tom said "Because of this contract, Sutton residents will still have the option of dropping into their Post Office for these services."

Tom said "This news, along with the Coalition's commitment to invest £1bn in the Post Office network, helps to put Post Offices on a more sustainable footing for the future and ensure they remain a vital community hub."
