Tom with the owner of Rhubarb & Bramley, Ricky Scott, and the founder of Carshalton Mums, Kathy McGuinessTom Brake MP used the opening of the new greengrocer in Carshalton to launch a new competition to find the most-loved independent local business in Carshalton and Wallington.

Tom has invited residents to vote for their favourite local independent business and nominate across three different categories: the best customer service, the most attractive shop front, and the best overall independent business.

Tom said:

"It's great to have a greengrocer back in Carshalton. I am sure this family-run business will serve the local community well, supplying fresh, local produce all year round. If you're looking to get your 5-a-day, Rhubarb & Bramley in Carshalton is the place to go!"

"Independent shops and businesses are the lifeblood of our local economy. This is why I've launched a competition to find which one we love the best."

By voting in the competition you can not only show your appreciation for your favourite shops or traders in Carshalton and Wallington, you will also be entered into a prize-draw with the opportunity to win a £50 voucher to spend in one of your chosen businesses
