Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake has teamed up with local businesses and organisations to collect donations and make a difference to a family in need this Christmas.

In the run-up to Christmas, Tom Brake MP put out a call to local businesses to donate food, toys and other goods and help bring some joy to a vulnerable local family this festive season.

Tom, who will be delivering the gifts just in time for Christmas, commented: "Christmas can be difficult time for many families and people often need a bit of extra help at this time of year."

"I am very touched at the response from local businesses. It's a great example of how Christmas is a time of giving."

"I would like to thank all the businesses that responded to the appeal and assure them that their donations will go to a family who wouldn't being having a Christmas otherwise."

Businesses that have donated include Spookernox, Rhubard and Bramley in Carshalton High Street, Scotts in Wrythe Green lane, Carshalton, Sainsbury's Wallington and Woodcote Green Garden Centre and Nurseries in Woodmansterne Lane, Wallington.
