LGBT Sutton Forum Celebrates LGBT History Month

Tom Brake MP along with the LGBT Sutton Forum has this week, celebrated the beginning of LGBT History month. Tom joined a number of figures from the LGBT Community in Sutton to celebrate the hard work done to challenge homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.

The event marked the beginning of LGBT History month, celebrating the achievements and successes of the LGBT Community and its members, especially those in Sutton.

Tom, who is a strong supporter and advocate of the LGBT community, joined others for Sunday brunch at a local pub in Sutton.

 

Commenting on the event Tom Brake said:

“It is great to see such a positive and thriving LGBT community here in Sutton. It really pleases me to have been part of a movement that has helped make further steps towards equality, including equal marriage rights. I will continue to advocate for the LGBT community in my constituency in the future”
