From today Londoners will be allowed to switch buses or trams within an hour of starting their journey to make two journeys for the price of one.The second journey will be automatically applied to journeys paid for by Oyster Pay As You Go and Contactless, meaning passengers don’t need to take any action to benefit.

Tom Brake said: ‘‘Lib Dem London Assembly member Caroline Pidgeon has been campaigning for a One Hour Bus Ticket for the best part of a decade in London. I remember very well launching her London-wide campaign at Vauxhall bus station back in 2009. The Mayor must now go further and also implement her policy for half price travel for journeys on the transport network before 7.30am”.
