Local MP Celebrates the Borough’s Best

Carshalton and Wallington MP, Tom Brake, attended Sutton’s 2016 Community Awards last week for a night of celebrating Sutton’s most community-spirited residents.

The Sutton Community Awards is an annual event where residents from across the borough are recognised for all the work they do to keep the community safe and make it a better place to live. There are five categories of awards, including the Safer Borough Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award. Each winner received a high street shopping voucher of £100.

Tom said, “It was an honour to attend the ceremony and watch these outstanding residents accept their awards. I am proud of all the hard work they do to make Sutton a great place to live, raise a family, or indeed retire. Their support and sacrifice for our community are exemplary, and I thank them for their continued commitment to the borough.”
