Tom takes a break!

Taking a rare break from his parliamentary schedule, local MP Tom Brake joined the South Sutton branch of the National Women's Register for afternoon tea in the House of Commons last week. At tea, Tom fielded questions on a range of issues from members of the Register.
Tom said, "It was a engaging discussion over a civilised British tea. I was challenged on everything from graffiti in the local area to the plight of Palestinians in the Middle East."
Brenda Swift, Treasurer of the Sutton South branch added, "We all enjoyed a very informative tour of Parliament followed by a lively discussion with Tom who showed a 'hands-on' knowledge of his constituency. The community spirit even extended to us all travelling home together in the rush hour."
