A Glimpse Of Westminster At Wallington Girls School - Brake12.01.00am GMT Tue 8th Feb 2005 Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake made a special visit to Wallington High School for Girls today (Tuesday 8 February) to speak to the over one hundred Year 13 students about his job as their local MP and also about the upcoming General Election. Mr Brake said, "I fielded questions on tuition fees, climate change and the Bush administration's policy for tackling global poverty. The exchange was lively and the students were very well-informed. Many of the students will be eligible to vote in the General Election, so I got a tough grilling about my work as their MP. Every MP should have to face their straight-talking young constituents because it's the best cure for complacency."
