Tom meets with local trade justice campaigners

Local MP Tom Brake today welcome constituents who travelled up to Westminster to take part in the mass trade justice lobby.

Tom, who served as the Liberal Democrats' international development spokesman until June 2005, said,

"Many of my constituents are long-standing advocates of trade justice. I am incredibly impressed by the depth of their knowledge of and passion for fighting global poverty."

"The G8 countries must not let the consensus that has been developed through Make Poverty History and Live8 slip away.
