Environmentalist question Tom (Simon Williams/Stop Climate Chaos)
Tom Brake, MP for Carshalton and Wallington, will be attending the Stop Climate Chaos "carbon dating" event at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster. The event will take place on Wednesday the 1st of March, and Tom will be participating from 3:00-4:00 pm.
The event is organized by Stop Climate Chaos, a coalition made up of many UK environmental and international development organisations. At the event, members of the public will have a chance to speak to a number of MPs regarding their concerns on climate change. The discussions will take place in a format similar to speed dating, which the organizers are calling "carbon dating", where MPs will rotate between groups of about 10 people and have a quick chat about climate change.
Tom said "I'm happy to be a part of this event, and think it will be a fun way to hear people's thoughts on something that I care deeply about.'
Sir David King, the UK's Chief Scientific Advisor, believes climate change is a greater threat than global terrorism.
