Brake Meets Toddlers at Salvation Army Hall

3.23.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 9th May 2006

Tom Brake MP for Carshalton and Wallington joined Christine Budding from the Salvation Army and local mums and their toddlers for an informal get-together at the Salvation Army hall 31 Green Wrythe Lane in Carshalton on Monday morning.

Mums and their toddlers meet there every Monday and Thursday for play, singing and snacks.

Tom Brake said, "The Hall is a great meeting place for families, somewhere safe, warm and well-equipped where children can play and socialise with other children and the adults have a chance to catch up with friends or make new ones over tea and biscuits."

Tom who chatted with many of the parents said, "It is clear the play session is a real boon for many parents providing top quality activities for their children round the corner from where they live."
