Politicians Told to Carry on Digging

Diane Turrell of the Friends of Wallington Library and Gardens, and Jonathan Brooke who is a General Assistant at Wallington library, were joined on Saturday during their morning's digging in Wallington Library gardens by local Councillors Colin Hall and Richard Bailey and Tom Brake MP. They all got their hands dirty to prepare the flower-beds for new roses.

Cllr Colin Hall said, "We are delighted to be able to help the Friends to prepare the new rose garden which will compliment the newly refurbished Library."

Tom Brake MP added, "It is not often that politicians are urged to 'carry on digging'. This time the digging was for a good cause! We hope its made a difference"
