In a last ditch attempt to overturn the FA's decision to relegate Carshalton Athletic Football Club Tom Brake has faxed a letter to the Chief Executive of the FA appealing for the Club to be given a fair hearing at their appeal tomorrow.
CAFC are appealing to the Football Association (FA) tomorrow regarding a previous ruling by The Football Conference Limited to relegate the team at the end of the 2005/2006 playing season.
Mr. Harry Driver, Chairman of Carshalton Athletic Football Club (CAFC), has expressed concerns that the rules have been interpreted in a way that is detrimental to the team's future and has cited that the ruling was inconsistent with the Association's own records of similar incidents. He is particularly concerned that the FA committee due to hear the appeal is the same body which ratified the Conference's decision to relegate CAFC.
