What Future St Helier Hospital?10.31.15am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 8th Jun 2006 Tom Brake MP and St Helier Councillors, Sheila Andrews, Dave Callaghan, and David Theobald are hosting a meeting on St Helier Hospital and the 'Better Healthcare Closer to Home' project. The public meeting will take place at Hill House, Bishopsford Road (on the corner of Bishopsford Road and Middleton Road) on Tuesday 13th June from 7pm until 8.30pm. Caroline Taylor the Chief Executive of the Sutton and Merton Primary Care Trust and a representative of the Epsom and St Helier NHS University Trust will be present to provide the latest facts on this important health project. Tom Brake said, 'Anyone with an interest in their local hospital and the Health Service should attend this meeting. Come and find out what is planned and how it will impact on your health care.' The meeting will cover amongst other issues; the next steps in the Better Healthcare Closer to Home project, what services will be delivered from a local care hospital and what services will be delivered from an Acute hospital. There will also be an opportunity to raise issues about the impact St Helier Hospital has currently on the neighbouring area.
