Funds from the Family Fun Cycle Ride will go to the Institute of Cancer Research

Tom Brake MP for Carshalton and Wallington and his son joined other cyclists for a family fun cycle ride in aide of the Institute of Cancer Research on a rather wet Sunday 13th May 2007.

The ride was the first of a number of initiatives which aim to raise the profile of the Institute of Cancer Research.

The cyclists followed a route from the Institute in the Royal Marsden along Carshalton High Street and then into Beddington Park for a number of laps.

Tom Brake said, "I hope this event has helped put the Institute of Cancer Research on the map. The Institute, based here in Sutton, has an international reputation and needs the funds raised by events such as the Family Fun Cycle Ride to help pay for its ground-breaking activities."
