The camp is being held as part of the World Celebrations of 100 years of the Scouting Movement. It is expected that more than 1000 scouts will attend. Mr Brake will take part in a number of activities, including a guided tour of the camp as well as on site activities to commemorate this significant occasion in Scouting history.
Similar camps will take place throughout the United Kingdom and all of the camps will take part in the lighting of a beacon to symbolise the future of Scouting.
Mr Brake concludes, "This is a momentous occasion in both the history and the future of Scouting. I am thrilled to be able to take part."
