MP Heroes Tea Party Event Honours One of Carshalton's Own

The MP Heroes Tea Party Event 2007 Celebrating Older Volunteers' Achievements will take place Tuesday 26th June 2007 from 4pm to 6pm in The Members Dining Room in Westminster. It is an opportunity for Tom Brake MP, and other MPs to recognise the community contributions made by older volunteers in their respective constituencies. The event is organised by The Experience Corps.

The hero from the Carshalton and Wallington area this year is Brian Whaley. Brian was nominated for his selfless work in driving and shopping for others.

Tom Brake MP for Carshalton and Wallington, said "Brian is a real gem and I am pleased that such a prestigious occasion has been organised to honour his work."
