Community Policing at its Best - Brake

10.29.14am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 11th Sep 2007

Wallington South Ward Councillors Richard Bailey and Colin Hall and Wallington South resident Tom Brake MP joined residents and the Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) at their regular SNT panel meeting on Wednesday evening at the United Reform Church in Stanley Park Road.

The panel meets on a quarterly basis to set policing priorities in and around Wallington town centre. Priorities for the next three months will include tackling anti-social behaviour in the town centre and high visibility policing.

Tom Brake said, "This is community policing at its best. Local people can feed in their concerns directly to the police team responsible for addressing them and priorities can be adjusted regularly to reflect what's happening on the ground."
