Brake Secures Position on Prestigious Home Affairs Select Committee

Tom Brake MP has been nominated a member of the high profile Home Affairs Select Committee.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Brake said;

"This is a truly prestigious position. It is an honour to serve on this committee and be able to challenge the Government on issues critical to my constituents such as the fight against crime and terrorism."

Mr Brake has already attended his first committee session on the issue of Domestic Violence.

Next week, the committee will be questioning the Mayor Mr Livingstone and Mayoral Candidates Brian Paddick (Lib Dem) and Boris Johnson (Conservative) on their proposed policing policies for London.
