I am committed to working with colleagues from all political parties to find a sustainable solution for the NHS and social care in the face of rising demand and a severe workforce crisis.
The Lib Dems propose a short-term solution of putting a penny in the pound on Income Tax to give the NHS and social care services a much-needed annual cash injection of £6 billion.
In the long-term, however, we need a bold and sustainable plan to safeguard health and social care for future generations.
That's why I'm calling on the Health and Social Care Secretary, Matt Hancock, to establish a cross-party group, bringing together politicians, professionals and the public to find a long-term solution and save our NHS.

I/We the undersigned call upon the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to establish cross-party health and social care convention, bringing together stakeholders from all political parties, patient groups, the public and professionals within the health and social care system to carry out a comprehensive review of the longer term sustainability of health and social care.
