Scaling walls, swimming through mud and climbing dung piles, a day's work for Tom Brake MP

Despite saying that last year would be his last, Tom Brake MP once again undertook the Muscle Acre-Mudslog event on a cold and windy day in Surrey on Sunday 15th November.

Tom was enduring this gruelling challenge to raise money for the Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders, a charity that provides therapeutic riding and carriage-driving for children and adults with disabilities.

Tom asks his constituents every year which charity they would like him to support and this year the Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders had overwhelming support from the local community, showing how well loved the charity is.

Tom said:

“Once again the Muscle Acre-Mud Slog proved challenging and at times very unpleasant. It is an incredible experience to push yourself to limits like this with fellow runners and it’s even more rewarding knowing I am raising money at the same time for such a fantastic charity!”

Tom hasn’t decided yet whether he is mad enough to attempt the Muscle Acre-Mud Slog again next year. But he has signed up for the Blenheim Palace sprint triathlon in June, again to raise money for the Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders.
