Tom Brake MP said:

"The Hope is a great pub not only for its quality beer and superb food, but for its friendly community atmosphere. It is owned by the people who drink in the pub and support the pub.

"I hope that the card signed by over 280 residents illustrates just how much Carshalton appreciates everything the Hope adds to the community.

"We all want the pub to continue to provide a central place for Carshalton residents to enjoy live music, a friendly atmosphere and a diverse range of beer."
