The National Lottery’s a Winner for Carshalton and Wallington

key_lottery.jpgTom Brake, MP for Carshalton and Wallington, met with the National Lottery on Thursday to find out about its role in raising funds for good causes in Carshalton & Wallington

This followed National Lottery Week in Parliament, which took place from 20-23 February. The event raised awareness of the funding available and demonstrated how the money raised is improving the wellbeing of British citizens.

Tom Brake MP said:

“I would like to thank the National Lottery and its players who continue to fund countless local groups and projects locally that significantly improve our community.

It was impressive to hear that since the National Lottery started in 1994, over £22 million of funding has gone to 294 projects in Carshalton and Wallington. There is still money available so I would encourage local groups to apply for funding that will support their activities.’’
