Tom Brake, MP for Carshalton and Wallington, was on hand Thursday night for the re-opening of the Red Lion pub in Hackbridge.

The newly refurbished pub has been completely revamped thanks to heavy investment and large community interest. The event, which saw a number of local businesses invited, was well-attended and celebrated.

Following the event, MP Brake had this to say:

“The pub looks totally unrecognizable and was buzzing last night. The improvements are really incredible and I am sure that it will become a very popular venue locally. I’d like to congratulate the landlady and thank everyone at the Red Lion for their hospitality. They even let me pull a pint of my own!”
