Tom Brake MP joined residents from Denmark Gardens to celebrate the launch of a new community garden.
The idea for the garden was championed by the Denmark Residents’ Association, working closely with Sutton Housing Partnership and contractor Mears.
The garden includes a fenced area with flower beds and seating, which will allow residents of all ages to relax and enjoy a safe open space.
As well as a chance to explore the gardens, the community day included a barbeque and a bouncy castle for the younger residents. Tom was joined by Liberal Democrat Local Councillor Nali Patel in congratulating local residents on the successful launch of the gardens.
Commenting, Tom Brake said:
“It is great to see local residents working together with Sutton Housing Partnership on a project that will benefit all Denmark Gardens residents. It has also been fantastic to see the excitement that the new gardens has generated with local residents. I hope that the space will be used by all ages and for a number of different activities.”
