Evidence shows that electricity is the cause of 70 deaths and over half of accidental domestic fires each year in the UK.

Electrical Fire Safety Week has joined with the Government’s “Fire Kills” campaign Nov. 21-27 to raise awareness about the dangers of electrical products that are faulty or misused and could lead to a devastating home fire.

Tom Brake MP said:

“Electricity brings countless comforts of living to every home, but it is critical that every homeowner is aware of the risks of using electrical products.

"Everyone must be educated on electrical safety in order to prevent the needless tragedy of home fires in the UK.”
