Carshalton & Wallington MP Tom Brake said:

“Caroline and I have campaigned for bus reform for years, therefore the introduction of a 1-hour bus ticket is incredibly welcome and overdue.

"Switching buses is an inescapable reality for many residents in Carshalton and Wallington. I am happy to see that they will no longer be penalised for this thanks to the 1-hour bus ticket.”

“Further, I support the weekly cap on Oyster that is being introduced in 2018 after years of contactless payment being the only form of payment with a weekly cap.

"Boris Johnson even promised that a cap would be introduced by 2015. This major anomaly should have been addressed many years ago.”
