Carshalton’s newest arts venue, the Cryer Arts Centre is now open, following extensive refurbishment work. Facilities include a theatre and performance space, together with a new bar/restaurant on the ground floor and potential retail units to the rear.
Last Saturday, the Centre hosted an Arts and Crafts fair for one of its first official public events. Featuring many local artists and craftspeople, it was a wonderful way to celebrate the Centre’s opening.
Tom Brake, Liberal Democrat candidate for Carshalton & Wallington said:
“I am overjoyed that the Cryer Arts Centre is bringing much-needed arts culture back to our area.
“The Arts and Crafts fair was a wonderful event, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the community gather to celebrate and admire the work of some very talented local artists.
“Huge congratulations to all those involved who put in countless hours of work to make the opening of the Centre possible.”
