Brake welcomes Commonwealth Parliamentarians to Carshalton

Tom Brake MP recently welcomed a group of five Parliamentarians from across the Commonwealth to Carshalton & Wallington.

During his meeting with representatives from Seychelles, St Lucia, Mauritius, Gibraltar and Barbados and a visit to his constituency office, Tom Brake and his staff exchanged ideas and best practice on how best to serve and represent constituents and discussed how their different governments work.

This discussion was followed by coffee at the excellent Sun pub and a visit to Carshalton College where the Parliamentarians discussed Brexit and its global implications with a group of local students.

Carshalton & Wallington MP Tom Brake said:

"It was a pleasure meeting Commonwealth Parliamentarians and welcoming them to Carshalton & Wallington.

"I know they were impressed with the level of interest and enthusiasm amongst Carshalton College students for debating Brexit and its implications for their future job prospects and the country more generally.

"We all hope the Commonwealth Parliamentarians trip was informative and entertaining."
