Tory candidate extends lead in local Pinocchio awards

Carshalton and Wallington's Tory parliamentary candidate has managed to extend his lead even further in this year's General Election Pinocchio awards.

A local resident has alerted us to a letter send out by Michael Howard's candidate in which he mentions that the Liberal Democrats would legalise ecstasy.

Tom Brake said,

"To suggest that we would legalise ecstasy is, I am afraid, a lie."

"The Tory candidate knows this as the Conservative Central office briefing circulated to Tory candidates confirms the Liberal Democrats will not legalise ecstasy."

"This just goes to show that Michael Howard's candidate is desperate to win this year's Pinocchio awards."
