Tom Brake calls for detailed 127 bus route consultation

Transport for London (TfL) has launched an autumn review of the 127 bus service, to analyse the structure and performance of the route. Local MP Tom Brake is calling on local residents to submit their views to TfL for consultation to help improve the service.

Tom said: "The 127 bus is an important service to Carshalton and Wallington, passing through the heart of the constituency. A high number of responses will help to create a more detailed and extensive review."

The 127 bus runs from Purley and passes through both Wallington and Carshalton on its way to Tooting.

The consultation is part of a routine process to review reliability, passenger usage and other ways of improving the service ahead of its renewal in July 2012. It will also be open to more general feedback on the greater bus network in and around the capital.

Tom also urged residents sending their views to TfL to copy him into their submissions to help him to keep them informed of any new developments.

You can submit your views on the 127 bus service and the bus network in London by email to , or by post to Transport for London Consultation and Engagement Centre, Surface Transport Communication, 11th Floor, Zone Y6, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NJ.
