New Save St Helier's Poster Unveiled

There's a new face of the Save St. Helier's campaign: a poster designed by students at Carshalton Boys Sports College who felt called to duty by the movement.

The students had learned about the proposed closure in citizenship lessons and voiced their concerns through letters, petitions and posters. A group of sixth formers led a school campaign, meeting with the Sutton Youth Parliament and local MP Tom Brake among other lawmakers. The poster was designed by Sam Harrison, a year 12 Art student.

"I am really pleased that my artwork will help to promote a cause that is really important to me and everyone who relies on St Helier's services," Sam said.

The poster will be adopted by the broader Save St. Helier campaign, and will be on display at the Save St. Helier Family Picnic on 8 September at St Helier Open Space.

"This poster is a wonderful symbol of our community's involvement in the campaign to save our hospital," Tom said. "I'm proud that the young adults of Carshalton are applying their many talents toward civic engagement."

A poster can be downloaded from Tom Brake's website:<>. More information about the picnic on 8 September can be found at
