Focus on Enforcement campaign

September 11, 2012 1:08 PM

Tom Brake MP is calling on local residents to contribute to the 'focus on enforcement' campaign.

The campaign wants the views of businesses and the public on a variety of different themes to see what is being done well and where it can be improved. This initiative arose from the Government priority to reduce the overall burden of regulation and create the conditions for a business-led recovery.

Tom, ``The views of the public need to be taken into account to establish a credible plan for an economic recovery. I welcome this initiative and encourage the public to take advantage of this opportunity by contributing to the campaign.''

The input from the public has been outstanding in the first three reviews. The next three themes will be examining issues with pubs, how enforcement activity affects coastal investments and projects and how we can improve enforcement of fire safety regulations.
