Tom Brake MP joins the Positively Women Campaign to end the pattern of women feeling embarrassed and confused regarding their health needs after 57% of women reported that they don’t feel comfortable talking about female health to medical professionals.
The Women’s Health Clinic started the campaign to promote a positive conversation about female health. The campaign wants to change the curriculum in secondary schools to include education on female health and increase the amount of informational resources NHS provides to women about their health and treatment options.
Liberal Democrat MP Tom Brake said:
"The Women’s Health Clinic report indicates that our education and health system has failed many women.
"I stand behind the Positively Women Campaign, recognising that every woman deserves to be provided with the confidence to feel comfortable speaking about the many facets of their health and treatment options."
