Visit My Mosque - Brake Joins Other Local Residents to Learn More

Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake took part in Visit My Mosque Day by visiting the Muslim Cultural Welfare Association of Sutton (MCWAS) at Wentworth Hall last Saturday. MCWAS provides daily prayers, schooling, wedding ceremonies, workshops, charity services and more for the Muslim community of Sutton.

Visit My Mosque Day encourages mosques across the UK every year to open their doors to all interested in learning more about Islam and the many functions of their local mosques.

Through workshops and open conversations at participating mosques across the country, citizens of all walks of life were able to engage and learn more about the Muslim community.

Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake said:

"The Muslim Cultural Welfare Association of Sutton offers countless services to Carshalton and Wallington residents and is a vital part of Sutton’s Muslim community.

"Visit My Mosque Day is a great chance for local residents to visit and learn more about Islam and the various services that MCWAS delivers. It is important to encourage open, interfaith dialogue so that members of different faiths can better understand the lives and values of one another."
